Heres to the new year, and new beginnings!
Regaining my self and confidence, cutting off the negative energy, and starting fresh... I’m not 100% on the style, but I already feel lighter...
Heres to the new year, and new beginnings!
The holidays have flown by, and things are still moving swiftly round here. Never a dull moment when you live on your toes.
Ive decided to put my dreams off for I guess another 5 years, so my degree goals will have to go on the back burner for now. That’s what happens when your main focus is ‘mom’ and another wee one is on the way. What a surprise though. I’ll get to have more personal drawing time which will be great in the long run.
I’m currently working on The Sketchbook Project 2018, with the Brooklyn Art Library. I’ve chosen the topic- ‘People I’d like to meet’ and instead of the norm, I’m going with people I would have liked to meet- so as you can guess, my subjects have passed. I don’t want to spoil too much- until I’m closer to finish- but they are comedic geniuses. I don’t find myself very into celebrities, not a huge ‘anyone’ fan. So I thought pretty hard on this one, and the reasoning behind my choices, had to do with my own outlooks on life. I love to laugh. And comedians have so much more of a real person mentality, which draws me in. For my first sneak peek is: .......George Carlin! One of the greatest comedians, and one to use his power of fame to help open minds.
keep checking back as I’ll be adding more photos as I go! Also keep in mind these are not the final drawings. Once I’m finished, I’ll upload the link to my book so everyone can see the final project!

Ive been totally overwhelmed this semester, but it’s slowly creeping to an end. I’ve accomplished so much learning and furthering techniques and gaining experience. I couldn’t be more than happy that I get to come out with all this knowledge to continue making my mark on this world.
From shapes, to figures, to drapes, to metaphors, to murals; this has been a very rewarding experience. Keep checking in for more to come!
feel the water surround you
enclosing your body like a vice
feel your lungs giving in to the pressure
kicking your way to the top
your hands finding the surface of the water
only to feel its floor disappear through your fingers
your nerves fried by the terror
the thought of death
with each thrash one stroke closer
its too hard to stay afloat
when you're drowning
Things have been busy as usual. Excited to be getting ready for the school year once again!
Ive been working on some personal pieces, putting my heart into my work. So happy to still have my drawing abilities! I don't know what I'd do without it. It's made me realize just how important it is to me.
As far as business goes, I've been trying to set it aside while the kids are out for the summer! We've been enjoying our family time! Sad it's coming to an end, but so glad to finally have a house without the 24hour chaos again!! ☺️
It's official! You are now looking at a registered student for the fall semester at the Academy of Art University of San Francisco!!! I'm well on my way to a degree in art!!!! Beyond excited for this new venture!!
Check back for more to come! I'll be posting school projects and progress! Let's do this!!!
It has been awhile since I've tried to draw since the accident, and here I am, super excited at the control I can still manage!! I was in between customers at work, and decided to quick sketch my new strengths... My worthless, but now handy dandy left hand! :)
I'm extremely anxious to get back to the drawing board!! So excited at my progress, but even more thankful for my family that pushes me and supports me daily.
As always, more to come. Keep supporting your local ARTISTS!!!
Since I'm in no condition to work quite yet, we've moved Jeanette's Pets to join with Roots Garden & Pet in Fresno. Roots will now offer bird, fish and small animal to add to their already extensive cat, dog and reptile sections! Thanks for all the community support! I've had a blast getting to know each of you and your families, especially the pets that you belong to 😉
Its been 6 months since I've updated my website.. I unfortunately haven't been drawing either. After a bad accident a few days before Christmas, I was left with some pretty harsh realities that I may not ever draw again...
It's hard a pill to swallow, but I refuse to give up. I'm walking normal again- except when it's cold out. And I'm writing again. Almost back to normal, but my hand tires out quickly and my arm feels too heavy to keep it up for long periods. I just try to convince myself I'll be better one day.
I had 2 dislocated vertebrae, 2 fractured vertebrae, and a slight fracture to my skull where the spinal cord attaches, and a very bruised brachial plexus. After surgery and titanium rod placed, I'm on a long road to recovery.
I'm taking each day as it comes, just happy to be alive with a new outlook on life.
My artwork may be changing... but I have to keep doing what I love, even if it's not exactly as I remembered.
I've been given a second chance, this time I'm going to make it count.
Keep checking in for more to come!! And keep supporting your local artists!!!
So as we all know, school is back in, and everyone is excited for all the fun to come! I'm back on Art Electives!! Except this year, I get some awesome assistance from the fabulous Shannon Weathers, and extending it to include PHOTOGRAPHY!!
We've already completed one project, (pictures to come) and are onto another! This group of kids is the craziest I've had so far!! They are literally- NUTS!! Lol and make the day fly by with their outrageous personalities.
The project we are doing now is a huge group effort, we are taking a picture of the school, placing a grid over, and each student gets a part of the grid to draw. So I'm very anxious for the finish to see the amazing piece together!
As far as my art, I've gotten the privilege to hire an employee, so I'm getting back in touch with what I've been missing out on all year.
And of course my kids! I've been missing mom time! So I soak up every chance I get!
Keep checking back in! Always more to come!
And keep supporting your local artist!!!!
