My name is Jeanette and I was born in Fresno California where I taught myself how to draw at a young age. I studied art throughout high school and thrived in pencil and pen sketches. I've always wanted to be a cartoonist, and maybe some day I will, one never knows what life will bring. I created this site to get feedback and also network with others to create beautiful pieces of art, be it on canvas, on paper, or photo. I am open to doing custom pieces also so if you shoot me a line, I'd be happy to work with you. Thanks for stopping by and happy viewing!!
UPDATE: In December of 2016, I got into a bad car accident, sliding off the road and into a tree. After a spinal fusion surgery and months of recovery, I taught myself how to once again walk, eat, and write. Drawing included.
I still suffer major nerve damage from the neck down and movement in my right shoulder. Due to the pain I still encounter, and numbness of my hands, I haven’t been drawing as much as I’d like and in turn, have been turning down commissions.
Im looking at a second surgery on my spine next year, with a 70% chance of a full recovery.
A big THANK YOU to all my supporters and the people who have been my constant crutch. It has been a long hard road, not just physically, but mentally as well.
I’m lucky to be alive and looking at life through new eyes. It’s made me realize how much I love my art and drawing has always been my voice without words.
Cheers to life and doing the things you love, the things that make your heart tick!!
